Verwendungszweck: Rock-1 is a protein encoded by the ROCK1 gene which is approximately 158,1 kDa. Rock-1 is localised to the cytoplasm, cell membrane and Golgi apparatus membrane. It is involved in blood-brain barrier and immune cell transmigration, development Slit-Robo signalling and activation of cAMP-dependent PKA. It is a serine/threonine kinase that is activated when bound to the GTP-bound form of Rho. Rho regulates formation of focal adhesions and stress fibres of fibroblasts, as well as adhesion and aggregation of platelets and lymphocytes by shuttling between the inactive GDP-bound form and the active GTP-bound form. It is also involved in the regulation of smooth muscle contraction, actin cytoskeleton organization, stress fibre and focal adhesion formation. Rock-1 is expressed in blood platelets. Mutations in the ROCK1 gene may result in multiple sclerosis and corticobasal degeneration. STJ95527 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Rock-1 protein.
