Rabbit polyclonal Collagen Type IV antibody (biotin) conjugated
Bioactivity: Some class-specific anti-collagens may be specific for three-dimensional epitopes which may result in diminished reactivity with denatured collagen or formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissues - Aufreinigung
- Affinity chromatography purified
- Immunogen
- Collagen type IV antibody (biotin) was raised in rabbit using collagen type IV from human and bovine placenta as the immunogen.

- Hintergrund
- Collagen is a group of naturally occurring proteins found, in nature, exclusively in animals, especially in the flesh and connective tissues of mammals. It is the main component of connective tissue, and is the most abundant protein in mammals, making up about 25% to 35% of the whole-body protein content. Type-IV collagen is a type of collagen found primarily in the basal lamina. The C-terminus domain is not removed in post-translational processing, and the fibers link head-to-head, rather than in parallel. Also, type-IV lacks the regular glycine in every third residue necessary for the tight, collagen helix.
