Hintergrund
TrkA, the high affinity Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) receptor, autophosphorylates on tyrosine to activate multiple effectors. Phosphorylation at Tyr490 is required for Shc association and activation of the Ras-MAP kinase cascade.
