Blocking Peptide (BP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blotting (WB)
Produktmerkmale
This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-UBE2L3 antibody (Catalog #: ARP43023_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
UBE2L3 catalyzes the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to other proteins. It mediates the selective degradation of short-lived and abnormal proteins. UBE2L3 functions in the E6/E6-AP-induced ubiquitination of p53/TP53.The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s), ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s) and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s). This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. This enzyme is demonstrated to participate in the ubiquitination of p53, c-Fos, and the NF-kB precursor p105 in vitro. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
