Aufreinigung: GLuR5 antibody was purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.

Immunogen: GLuR5 antibody was raised against a 12 amino acid synthetic peptide near the internal region (near the C-Terminus) of GLuR5.

Anwendungsinformationen

Applikationshinweise: ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:8,000. Western Blot: Approximately 150 kDa band observed in human brain (cerebellum and cerebral cortex) lysates (calculated MW of 104 kDa according to NP_000821.1). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Christensen et al, J Neurosci. 2004 Oct 13,24 (41) :8986-93., PMID: 15483117). Recommended concentration: 1-3 μg/mL. an additional very strong band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 60 kDa . This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
