The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site. This antibody detects endogenous levels of HSP90B only when phosphorylated at Serine 254.

Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human HSP90B around the phosphorylation site of serine 254 (V-G-Sp-D-E).
Suitable for use in Western blot (1/500-1/1000). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Hintergrund
The 90- kDa heat shock protein (Hsp90) is a highly conserved, and abundant cytosolic homodimeric molecular chaperone. Hsp90 is distinguished from other chaperones in that most of its known substrates are signal transduction proteins, non activated steroid hormone receptors, several protooncogenic tyrosine and serine/threonine kinases and actin.
