ELISA: Direct: To detect hBetacellulin (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentrationof 0.25 - 1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. In conjunction with compatible secondaryreagents, it allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hBetacellulin. Sandwich: To detect hBetacellulin (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of0.25 - 1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. In conjunction with Polyclonal Anti-HumanBetacellulin as a capture antibody, it allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well ofrecombinant hBetacellulin. Western blot: To detect hBetacellulin this antibody can be used at a concentration of0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detectionlimit for recombinant hBetacellulin is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing ornon-reducing conditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Store the lyophilized antibody at -20 °C. Following reconstitution it is stable for two weeks at 2 - 8 °C. Frozen aliquots are stable for 6 months when stored at -20 °C.
Betacellulin is a member of the mammalian members of the EGF family of growth factors. It is synthesized primarily as a transmembrane precursor, which is then processed to mature molecule by proteolytic events. This encoded protein is a ligand for the EGF receptor. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.Synonyms: BTC, Probetacellulin
