    Produktmerkmale
Concentration Definition: by UV absorbance at 280 nm
    Aufreinigung
This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.  Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-fluorescein, anti-Goat Serum, Rabbit IgM and Rabbit Serum.  No reaction was observed against Rabbit IgG.

    Hintergrund

Synonyms: goat anti-Rabbit IgM (mu chain) Antibody fluorescein Conjugated, goat anti-Rabbit IgM mu chain FITC Conjugated Antibody

Background: Anti-Rabbit IgM mu chain antibody raised in goat specifically detects rabbit IgM heavy chain. Immunoglobulin M is the largest antibody isotype and the first to be secreted against an initial exposure to antigen. IgM is predominantly produced in the spleen. Formed from covalently linking 5 immunoglobulins together, the approximate molecular weight of IgM is 900 kDa and possesses 10 binding sites (though due to the size of most antigens, not all sites are capable of binding at once). Due to this large size, IgM is typically isolated to the serum. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition. This Anti-Rabbit IgM is conjugated to Fluorescein.
