Hintergrund Elastin is the major protein of elastic fibres that form a randomly orientated network in many tissues. Due to its high content of hydrophobic amino acids it is relatively resistant to chemicals and proteinase. Its principal function is to provide elasticity to tissues, however it has also chemotactic and cell adhesion properties.Synonyms: ELN, Tropoelastin

Applikationshinweise This antibody can be used on Frozen and Paraffin Embedded Tissues. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 1/500 (immunoperoxidas,Streptavidin/Biotib, ABC). Incubation time: 60 min at RT or 2-8 °C overnight. Pretreatment: After de-waxing the tissue slices are treated with 0.2 % hyaluronidase (app.300 U/mg) in TBS 15 min at 37 °C. Thereafter non-specific binding is blocked by blockingserum or 3 % BSA in TBS. For peroxidase systems blocking with 1 % peroxide solution in TBSfor 30 min at RT is recommended. Positive Control: Rat skin or aorta. IFA: 1/40. Also suitable for ELISA (>/= 1/200), RIA and Immunoblotting (Western blot).
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
