Handhabung

Format: Lyophilized

Rekonstitution: Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 25 mM MES, 150 mM NaCl ( pH 5.5).

Buffer: Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in 25 mM MES, 150 mM NaCl ( pH 5.5). Normally 8 % trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Hintergrund: Siglec-9 is a sialic-acid-binding lectin expressed predominantly on myeloid cells. Aberrant glycosylation occurs in essentially all types of cancers and results in increased sialylation. Thus, when the mucin MUC1 is expressed on cancer cells, it is decorated by multiple short, sialylated O-linked glycans (MUC1-ST).

Molekulargewicht: 38.9 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 70-80 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
