Hintergrund
DHPS, which belongs to the deoxyhypusine synthase family of proteins, is important for the first step in the hypusine biosynthesis pathway. This protein catalyzes the NAD-dependent transfer of the butylamine moiety of spermidine to the epsilon-amino group of a specific lysine residue of the EIF5A precursor protein to form the intermediate deoxyhypusine residue. Recombinant DHPS protein was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Synonyms: MIG13, Deoxyhypusine synthase DHS, DS, Migration inducing gene 13. NCBI no.: NP_001921
Molekulargewicht
43.1 kDa (389aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF.
