WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.

    Hintergrund
Keratin 20, also called Cytokeratin 20, CK20, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KRT20 gene. KRT20 has an apparent molecular mass of about 46 kDa. It is a type I cytokeratin. It is a major cellular protein of mature enterocytes and goblet cells and is specifically found in the gastric and intestinal mucosa. KRT20 formed heterotypic complexes with KRT8 in vitro, and the complexes assembled into intermediate filaments under appropriate conditions. The protein is commonly found in colorectal cancer, transitional cell carcinomas and in Merkel cell tumours, but is absent in lung cancer, prostate cancer, and non-mucinous ovarian cancer. It is often used in combination with antibodies to CK7 to distinguish different types of glandular tumour.
