Recombinant Human Transcription Initiation Factor IIB/TFIIB is produced by our E. coli expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Met1-Leu316) of Human TFIIB fused with a GST tag at the N-terminus.

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Buffer
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20 mM TrisHCl, 100 mM NaCl, pH 8.0.
Handhabung
Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.

Informationen zur Lagerung
Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.
Transcription Initiation Factor IIB (TFIIB) is an essential factor for transcription by RNA Polymerase II. TFIIB localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factor IID and IIA. TFIIB plays a role as a bridge between IID, which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II. TFIIB is involved in the selection of transcription start site. Alternative Names: Transcription Initiation Factor IIB, General Transcription Factor TFIIB, S300-II, GTF2B, TF2B, TFIIB
