This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-CREBZF antibody (Catalog #: ARP36002_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
CREBZF belongs to the bZIP family. It strongly activates transcription when bound to HCFC1. The protein suppresses the expression of HSV proteins in cells infected with the virus in a HCFC1-dependent manner. It also suppresses the HCFC1-dependent transcriptional activation by CREB3 and reduces the amount of CREB3 in the cell. CREBZF is able to down-regulate expression of some cellular genes in CREBZF-expressing cells.
