- Background: Interferon regulatory factor-2-binding protein-2 (IRF2BP1) is a transcriptional co-repressor of IRF2 (interferon regulatory factor-2). IRF2BP2 has also been shown to play a role in cell survival during stress responses involving p53. IRF2BP2 is also a component of the TEAD4/BGLL4 transcription factor complex involved in the regulation of VEGFA expression.
