Hintergrund: Cortisol Binding Globulin, Human (CBG, Transcortin, Corticosteroid Binding Globulin) is a serum glycoprotein, belonging to the serpin family and synthesized in the liver. It is the major transport protein for glucorticoids and progestins in the blood of most vertebrates.
