- Hintergrund
- Sperm head calyx protein calicin (mw 66,889, IEP 8.1, 588 amino acids), testis specific cytoskeletal protein Homologue to kelch protein of the ring canal structure of Drosophila ovaries. Useful to study spermiogenetic differentiation. Calicin is absent from pathologic forms like round-headed or other post-acrosomal sheath defect sperm malformations.
