SNX7 encodes a member of the sorting nexin family.
Showing 5 out of 6 products:
SNX7 is a liver-enriched antiapoptotic protein that is indispensable for the survival of hepatoblasts during zebrafish early embryogenesis.
Overexpression of SNX7 in HEK293T cells reduces the levels of secreted Abeta (zeige APP Proteine) and beta-cleaved N-terminal APP (zeige APP Proteine) fragments (sAPPbeta). Moreover, SNX7 overexpression caused a significant reduction of the steady-state levels of APP (zeige APP Proteine) as well as of the cell surface APP (zeige APP Proteine) levels.
This gene encodes a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of this family contain a phox (PX) domain, which is a phosphoinositide binding domain, and are involved in intracellular trafficking. This protein does not contain a coiled coil region like some family members, and its exact function is unknown. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 11.
