  • Spezifität

Recognizes a protein of 17-31 kDa, identified as interleukin 1beta. It shows no cross-reaction with interleukin 1alpha. Epitopes of MAb IL1B/463 and IL1B/465 are different and provide a good pair for developing an ELISA. This cytokine is produced by activated macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed to its active form by caspase 1 (CASP1/ICE). This cytokine is an important mediator of the inflammatory response, and is involved in a variety of cellular activities, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The induction of cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX2) by this cytokine in the central nervous system (CNS) is found to contribute to inflammatory pain hypersensitivity. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2.

  • Applikationshinweise

Known_Application: ELISA (For coating, order antibody without BSA); Immunofluorescence (1-2ug/ml); ,Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT),(Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95 °C followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes),Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.

Positive_Control: LPS stimulated human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Human colon or liver tissue.
