Kreuzreaktivität (Details)
- Anti-Parkin pS101 antibody is directed against human Parkin protein.
-
Aufreinigung
- The antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phospho peptide coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) against non-phospho peptide and non-specific peptide to remove any unwanted reactivities.
-
Immunogen
- Anti-Parkin pS101 Antibody was produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser101.

Background: Parkin pS101 Antibody detects Parkin pS101 protein. Parkin is an E3 ligase in the ubiquitin-proteasome system. Hereditary Parkinson's disease is most commonly caused by mutations in the parkin gene and is characterized by the progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons and the presence of Lewy bodies in the substania nigra. Recent evidence suggests that phosphorylation of parkin at Ser101 may have an important regulatory role on its E3 ubiquitin ligase activity. Anti-Parkin pS101 Antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Neuroscience, Apoptosis, and Signal Transduction research.
