Spezifität
- Recognizes soluble and membrane bound gp130 receptor, also known as CD130, Interleukin-6 receptor subunit beta, Oncostatin-M receptor subunit alpha or Interleukin-6 signal transducer. CD130 is a 918 amino acid, ~130 kD single pass type-1 transmembrane glycoprotein containing a single and multiple domains. CD130 can be cleaved to form a monomeric soluble ~100 kD form of the receptor detectable in plasma and other biologic fluids where it acts as an IL-6 antagonist. Binds to an epitope dependent at least partially on the presence of the Ig-like domain. Has been reported to block receptor activity and inhibit IL-6 induced proliferation of XG1 cells and IL-27 mediated proliferation of naive CD4+ T cells,.
