A synthetic peptide from the 1t cytoplasmic loop of C. Elegance TRPA1 (ANKTM1, trpa-1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
A concentration of 10 to 50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.

Target
TRPA1
(Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel, Subfamily A, Member 1 (TRPA1))
Function: Receptor-activated non-selective cation channel involved in the nose-touch response and foraging behavior. Contributes to the neural responses of sensory neurons to touch, particularly after repeated mechanical stimulation. Has no apparent role in thermosensory or chemosensory behaviors. Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Tissue specificity: Expressed in many sensory neurons, including OLQ and IL1 neurons. Miscellaneous: Worms lacking trpa-1 exhibit specific defects in mechanosensory behaviors: abnormal head withdrawal reflex, defective reversal behavior in response to nose-touch and foraging behaviors. Also known as: Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily A member 1, ankyrin-like withtransmembrane domains protein 1, transformation sensitive protein p120, ANKTM1, trpa-1.
