- Hintergrund
- DNAJC12, also known as JDP1, is a member of the DnaJ/Hsp40 family. The members of the DnaJ/Hsp40 proteins are highly conserved through evolution, expressed in several tissues and act as co-chaperone regulating protein folding, transport, translational initiation and gene expression. DnaJC12 may play a role in protein folding and export and is thought to be involved in estrogen control and the development of breast cancer. This protein is expressed at high levels in brain, heart, and testis, and at reduced levels in kidney and stomach. Recombinant human DNAJC12 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
