Beschreibung: BiG 53 represents an excellent marker for mouse CD14. The CD14 glycoprotein, gp 55, is present on most monocytic and macrophages like cell types: monocytes, macrophages, Kupffer cells, pleural phagocytic cells and dendritic reticular cells. CD14 is also observed on granulocytes and activated or transformed B-cells. Furthermore CD14 is present in a soluble form in mouse serum, urine and other body fluids. The CD14 molecule has been reported to be a receptor for Endotoxin.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Suitable for immunostaining of CD14 positive cells and inhibition studies Binds at LPS activated mouse monocytes as well as mouse CD14 transfected cells or recombinant mouse CD14 ELISA. Inhibition of LPS binding to CD14 (Binding at LPS binding site). Up to 1 ug/ml biG53 inhibit binding of FITC-LPS (0.5ug/ml) to 6 x 105 CD14+CHO transfectants (FACS), Binding titre at mouse CD14 transfected CHO-cells: more than 20.000 (ELISA, Flow cytometry)
