Beschreibung: CD36 (fatty acid translocase, FAT) is an 88 kDa ditopic glycosylated protein that belongs tothe class B family of scavenger receptors. CD36 is expressed by most resting marginal zoneB cells but not by follicular and B1 B cells, and it is rapidly induced on Follicular B cells invitro upon TLR and CD40 stimulation. CD36 does not affect the development of B cells, butmodulates both primary and secondary antibody response. Similarly to glucose transporterGLUT4, CD36 is translocated from intracellular pools to the plasma membrane followingcell stimulation by insulin. In mouse, CD36 is responsible for gustatory perception oflong-chain fatty acids.

Spezifität: The antibody TR9 reacts with CD36 (GPIIIb), a 85 kDa integral membrane glycoproteinexpressed on platelets, macrophages, endothelial cells, early erythroid cells andmegakaryocytes. This antibody cross-blocks binding of FITC-labeled standard antibody OKM5. Anti-CD36 antibodies inhibit adhesive functions (e. g. adherence of infected erythrocytes totarget cells). Species: Human. Others not tested.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Suitable for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 20 μl reagent / 100 μl ofwhole blood or 10e6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: PBS containing 15 mM sodium azide as preservative and 0.2% (w/v)high-grade BSA (Protease free) as stabilizer.Label: Conjugated with R-Phycoerythrin (PE) under optimum conditions.

Lagerung: Store the antibody in the dark at 2-8°C. DO NOT FREEZE! Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Shelf life: One year from despatch.
