Western Blotting (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))
Spezifität
This antibody BM5054 (7F1) reacts with the 39 kDa RAP protein, which is cosynthesized with Human LRP/alpha2MR (low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein/alpha2-Macro-Globulin Receptor). It inhibits the binding of ligands, e.g. tPA, uPA, VLDL, liproprotein lipase, and alpha2-Macroglobulin-proteinase complexes to LRP/A2MR.
Immunoblotting. Immunofluorescence. Immunohistochemistry: 1/20. Ligand-binding assays. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Hintergrund
Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein-associated protein 1 (RAP) interacts with LRP1/alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor and glycoprotein 330. It is present on the cell surface forming a complex with the alpha 2 macroglobulin receptor heavy and light chains. Binds LRP1B, binding is followed by internalization and degradation. In complex with the alpha 2 MR or gp330, it may have some role in the pathogenesis of membrane glomerular nephritis.Synonyms: Alpha-2-MRAP, Alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor-associated protein, Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein-associated protein 1, RAP
