study determined that high-risk E7 proteins target the proteolysis of the cellular protein tyrosine phosphatase (zeige ACP1 Proteine) PTPN14 and find that this activity is correlated with the retinoblastoma-independent transforming activity of E7
PTPN14 is classified as a potential tumor suppressor protein (zeige TP53 Proteine), and is very susceptible to HPV E7-induced proteasome-mediated degradation.
The Hippo signaling pathway was significantly associated with ER-negative breast cancer (pathway level P = 0.02). Gene-based analyses revealed that CDH1 (zeige CDH1 Proteine) was responsible for the pathway association (P < 0.01),corrected P = 0.02). rs142697907 in PTPN14 was associated with ER-positive breast cancer and rs2456773 in CDK1 (zeige CDK1 Proteine) with ER-negativity in case-only analysis after gene-level correction
PTPN14, a Pez mammalian homolog, is degraded by overexpressed Su(dx) or Su(dx) homologue WWP1 (zeige WWP1 Proteine) in mammalian cells.
PTPN14 and PTEN were identified as direct and functional targets of miR (zeige MLXIP Proteine)-21.
Findings indicate a pathway involving protein-tyrosine phosphatase (zeige ACP1 Proteine) D2 PTPD2 (PTPN14) and the lipid second messenger phosphatidic acid that promotes ERBB2 (zeige ERBB2 Proteine) receptor function.
results indicate a potential regulatory role of PTPN14 in the Hippo pathway and demonstrate another layer of regulation in the YAP (zeige YAP1 Proteine) oncogenic function
Data demonstrate that PTPN14 downregulation can phenocopy YAP (zeige YAP1 Proteine) activation in mammary epithelial cells and synergize with YAP (zeige YAP1 Proteine) to induce oncogenic transformation.
Data show that p130 (zeige RBL2 Proteine) Crk-associated substrate (zeige BCAR1 Proteine) is a direct substrate of PTPN14 and that PTPN14 specifically regulates p130Cas (zeige BCAR1 Proteine) phosphorylation at tyrosine residue 128 in colorectal cancer cells.
YAP (zeige YAP1 Proteine) is a direct substrate of PTPN14. Results indicate a potential regulatory role of PTPN14 on YAP (zeige YAP1 Proteine) and demonstrate a novel mechanism in YAP (zeige YAP1 Proteine) regulation.
The tyrosine phosphatase PTPN14 (Pez) inhibits metastasis by altering protein trafficking.
PTPN14 has a role in angiogenesis and/or arteriovenous fate, acting via EphrinB2 (zeige EFNB2 Proteine) and ACVRL1/activin receptor-like kinase 1 (zeige ACVRL1 Proteine)
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains an N-terminal noncatalytic domain similar to that of band 4.1 superfamily cytoskeleton-associated proteins, which suggested the membrane or cytoskeleton localization of this protein. It appears to regulate lymphatic development in mammals, and a loss of function mutation has been found in a kindred with a lymphedema-choanal atresia.
