Hintergrund
- CB-CALA reacts with CD10 or CALLA, a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity, inactivating a variety of biologically active peptides. CD10 is a 100 kDa glycoprotein, expressed on 70 % of pre-B ALL cells (common ALL), but also on early lymphoid progenitor cells in bone marrow and fetal liver. Other normal CD10 positive tissues include renal epithelium, fibroblasts and germinal centre B-cells. Density of CD10 antigen has been shown to be related to cell differentiation and may have prognostic value for B-cell lineage acute leukemia. CD10 is also present on breast myoepithelial cells, bile canaliculi, fibroblasts, with especially high expression on the brush border of kidney and gut epithelial cells. Positive control: Raji cells, tonsil, small intestine or kidney.
