Hintergrund
- Annexin A1 (ANXA1) is a phospholipid-binding protein belonging to the annexin family. It plays a key role in the regulation of inflammation, apoptosis, cell proliferation, and membrane stability. In immunohistochemistry, Annexin A1 is used as a marker in various inflammatory, autoimmune, and neoplastic conditions. Altered expression of Annexin A1 has been observed in several cancer types, including colorectal cancer, breast carcinoma, and certain leukemias. Its expression can be associated with tumor differentiation, response to therapy, and prognosis in pathological assessment.
