Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at ~27 kDa in size corresponding to p27 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. Anti-p27 is suitable for the detection by immunoblot of human p27. Optimal titers for other applications should be determined by the researcher. Hintergrund: Background: p27 kip1 pS140 is a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor that shares a limited similarity with CDK inhibitor CDKN1A/p21.  p27 binds to and prevents the activation of cyclin E-CDK2 or cyclin D-CDK4 complexes, and thus controls the cell cycle progression at G1.
