The clone A3.4H2, a mouse monoclonal antibody, selectively binds to the human 33- kDa member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, also known as Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Antigen 4 (CTLA-4). CD152 is a protein receptor that functions as an immune checkpoint and downregulates immune responses. It is transiently expressed on activated CD28+ T cells and binds to CD80 and CD86 present on antigen presenting cells (APC) with high avidity. Intracellular CD152 is also expressed on regulatory T cells and contributes to their inhibitory function.
