HNF-3a (Hepatocyte nuclear factor 3 alpha, forkhead box A1, FoxA1) is a homeodomain containing transcription factor and is a member of the Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor family (HNF-1a, HNF-1b, HNF-3a, HNF-3b, HNF-3g, HNF-4a, HNF-4g, HNF-6a and HNF-6b), whose members regulate the transcription of numerous hepatocyte genes in adult liver. HNF-3 members bind to DNA as monomers using a winged helix DNA-binding domain. HNF-3a and HNF-3g have also been shown to be involved in gastrulation events such as body axis formation. HNF-3a / FOXA1 antibody (mAb) (Clone 2F83) was raised in a Mouse host. It has been validated for use in Chromatin Immunoprecipitation, ChIP-Seq, Immunohistochemistry and Western blot, it has been shown to react with Human and Mouse samples.
