Aufreinigung
- This monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant via affinity chromatography. The purified antibody was conjugated under optimal conditions, with unreacted dye removed from the preparation. It is recommended to store the product undiluted at 4°C, and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.

Applikationshinweise
- This antibody preparation has been quality-tested for flow cytometry using mouse spleen cells, or an appropriate cell type (where indicated). Please refer to the figure legend for the optimal concentration used to stain the tissue shown. We recommend titrating the antibody under your specific conditions to determine the optimal concentration of antibody needed in your experimental system.

Hintergrund
- The M17/4 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11a, an 180kD glycoprotein that is also known as integrin alpha L (ITGAL). CD11a associates non- covalently with CD18 (integrein beta 2) to form the lymphocyte function associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) heterodimer. CD11a is expressed on the cell surface of all leukocytes. LFA-1 plays a critical role in intercellular adhesion that is mediated through interactions with its ligands, ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM -3 (CD50). LFA-1 also functions in lymphocyte costimulatory signaling. On resting cells, LFA-1 exists in a low-affinity conformation that is rapidly induced to the high-affinity conformation following cell stimulation.
