Spezifität: The antibody detects endogenous level of Rac1 only when phosphorylated at serine 71.

Aufreinigung: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Immunogen: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pSer71 (P-L-S (p) -Y-P) derived from Human Rac1. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

Hintergrund: Rac1 encoded by this gene is a GTPase which belongs to the RAS superfamily of small GTP-binding proteins. Members of this superfamily appear to regulate a diverse array of cellular events, including the control of cell growth, cytoskeletal reorganization, and the activation of protein kinases. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
