ELISA: Direct: To detect hCTGF (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of0.25 - 1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. In conjunction with compatible secondaryreagents, it allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hCTGF. Sandwich: To detect hCTGF (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of0.25 - 1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. In conjunction with Polyclonal Anti-HumanCTGF as a capture antibody, it allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well ofrecombinant hCTGF. Western blot: To detect hCTGF this antibody can be used at a concentration of0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detectionlimit for recombinant hCTGF is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducingconditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

CTGF (connective tissue growth factor) is a 38 kDa, cysteine-rich, secreted peptide. It is a new member of the peptide family that include serum-induced immediate early gene products, a v-src-induced peptide and a putative proto-oncogene. Among the many functions of the CTGF gene family are embryogenesis, wound healing and regulation of extracellular matrix production.Synonyms: CCN family member 2, CCN2, Connective tissue growth factor, HCS24, Hypertrophic chondrocyte-specific protein 24, IBP8, IGF-binding protein 8, IGFBP8, Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 8
