Beschreibung
|
P27 is a cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor (CKI) which controls G1/S phase transition in thecell cycle. p27 prevents cell cycle progression by inhibiting the activity of cyclin E-Cdk2 andcyclin D-Cdk4/6, thus preventing E2F activation and S phase progression. Low p27 levels and/or cytosolic mis-localisation have been associated with thedevelopment of lung, breast, colon, oesophagus, and prostate tumours.

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific immunogen. This antibody detects endogenous levels of total p27Kip1 protein. Species: Human, Mouse and Rat. Others not tested.
