We recommend adding a carrier protein such as HSA or BSA to 0.1% (i.e. 1.0 mg/mL). For best results aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or colder. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge vial before each opening to dislodge contents from the cap and to clarify if contents are not clear after standing at room temperature.

Background: Interleukin-22 (IL-22), also called IL-TIF, is an IL-10 family member, produced by activated dendritic cells and T lymphocytes. IL-22 signals via the IL-22R and IL-10Rbeta receptors to act as a potent mediator of the cellular inflammatory response. Recombinant human IL-22 is a non-disulfide-linked homodimer, containing two 146 amino acids, with a total molecular weight of 33.6 kDa.
