    Hintergrund

    Synonyms: Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 3, TrpV3, Vanilloid receptor-like 3, VRL-3, TRPV3

Tissue Specificity: Abundantly expressed in CNS. Widely expressed at low levels. Detected in dorsal root ganglion. Expressed in the keratinocyte layers of the outer root sheath and, to lesser extent, to the matrix of the hair follicles.

Background: Homer protein homolog 1 or Homer1 is a neuronal protein that in humans is encoded by the HOMER1 gene. This gene encodes a member of the homer family of dendritic proteins. Members of this family regulate group 1 metabotrophic glutamate receptor function.
