    Informationen zur Lagerung

Storage before reconstitution: The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, it should be stored at -20°C.

Storage after reconstitution: The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, small aliquots should be stored at -20°C. Avoid multiple freezing and thawing. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min).

    Hintergrund

NPFFR2, G-Protein Coupled Receptor 74, GPR74,Neuropeptide FF receptor 2, NPFFR1, and also known as GPR74, is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily containing two subtypes, NPFFR1 and NPFFR2.1-2NPFFR1 and NPFFR2 are the high affinity receptors the endogenous neuropeptides NPFF and NPAF, also known as RFamide peptides, which are characterized by their Arg-Phe-NH2 motif at the C-terminal end.1-2NPFFR2 is expressed in both the central and peripheral nervous system, as well as in other organs such as heart, kidney and adipose tissue macrophages.1-4NPFFR2 has been extensively studied for its role in pain modulation. Mice over-expressing NPFFR2 showed more sensitivity to mechanical and thermal noxious stimuli. In addition, a role in the modulation of the development of opioid tolerance and the regulation of withdrawal symptoms, has been suggested.3,5NPFFR2 signaling has been implicated in the regulation of energy homeostasis, through the inhibition of food intake and the modulation of metabolic rate and energy expenditure.2,3,6 In this regard, it is interesting to note that, NPFFR2 has been identified in adipose tissue macrophages, cells that are involved in the development of obesity-induced metabolic diseases.7
