Immunogen: This chimeric antibody was generated by cloning the variable heavy and light chain sequences of murine parent antibody KM696 (IgM) and expressing it as a mouse/human IgG1. The parent antibody was raised against human GM2.

Anwendungsinformationen

Applikationshinweise: This antibody shows antitumor activity both in vitro and in vivo. Chimeric KM966 markedly suppressed the establishment of f human tumor xenografts in nude mice. Indirect immunofluorescence staining of tumor cell lines with the chimeric KM966 revealed that the antigen was expressed in substantial amounts on pulmonary tumor cells and leukemia cells as well as neuroectodermal origin tumor cells. This antibody also reacts with GM2 in an ELISA and also can be used for the identification of tumor cells expressing GM2 via flow cytometry (PMID: 8137257). The effect of chimeric antibody KM966 on GM2 expressing human solid tumors in vivo was done in PMID: 10417777. This antibody was also used in the immunocytochemical staining of cultured skin fibroblast of patients with GM2-gangliosidosis (PMID: 28417072). Humanized versions of this antibody KM8966, KM8967, KM8969 and KM8970 are available on request.
