Hintergrund

Synonyms: DACH 2, dachshund 2, Dachshund homolog 2 Drosophila, Dachshund homolog 2, Dachshund2, FLJ31391, HGNC:16814, MGC138545.
Background: DACH2 is a transcription factor that is involved in regulation of organogenesis. It seems to be a regulator for SIX1 and SIX6 and may act as a corepressor of SIX6 in regulating proliferation by directly repressing cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors, including the p27Kip1 promoter. It probably binds to DNA via its DACH box-N domain.
