Immunogen
- Immunogen was recombinant Human CD38 that derived from E.coli. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction of tissue culture supernatant was purified by Protein G/A affinity chromatography.

Hintergrund

Target Description: CD38 (cluster of differentiation 38), also known as cyclic ADP ribose hydrolase is a glycoprotein found on the surface of many immune cells (white blood cells), including CD4+, CD8+, B lymphocytes andnatural killer cells. CD38 also functions in cell adhesion, signal transduction and calcium signaling. CD38 is a multifunctional ectoenzyme that catalyzes the synthesis and hydrolysis of cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR) from NAD+ to ADP-ribose. These reaction products are essential for the regulation of intracellular Ca2+. Diseases associated with CD38 include B Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia and Richter's Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Hematopoietic cell lineage and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Differentiation Pathways and Lineage-specific Markers. GO annotations related to this gene include transferase activity and hydrolase activity, acting on glycosyl bonds. An important paralog of this gene is BST1.
