Data defined the mutational burden of the fibrinogen FGA, FGB, and FGG genes, and estimated the prevalence of inherited fibrinogen disorders through a systematic analysis of exome/genome data.
The simultaneous retention of fibrinogen and APOB (zeige APOB Antikörper)-lipoproteins in FSD can be detected in routinely stained histological sections. The analysis of protein structures unraveled the pathomorphogenesis of this unexpected phenomenon. Fibrinogen gamma chain mutations provoke conformational changes in the region of the globular domain involved in the "end-to-end" interaction, thus impairing the D-dimer formation
Fibrinogen gamma acts as thrombomodulin (zeige THBD Antikörper) II. (Review)
Gene analysis of the fibrinogen phenotype reveals the importance of polygenic co-regulation.
Data indicate that repeated measurement after five hours showed a statistical significant difference for the fractional synthesis rate of fibrinogen but not for albumin (zeige ALB Antikörper).
Fibrinogen gamma chain and complement factor H (zeige CFH Antikörper) were found to be bound as a protein complex in the plasma of a patient with advanced ovarian cancer
The high preoperative peripheral serum fibrinogen level was related to poor survival in penile cancer patients, suggeting fibrinogen may serve as a powerful predictor of cancer specific survival (CSS (zeige CMAS Antikörper)) in penile cancer patients.
These findings provide insight into assembly of the fibrinogen/FXIII-A2B2 complex in both physiologic and therapeutic situations.
Our data indicate that the amplitude and maximal velocity of coagulation curves from plasma samples from FGG p.Arg301(275)Cys dysfibrinogenemic patients were comparable to those from plasma samples with fibrinogen in the normal range, whereas the amplitude of coagulation curves from patients with acquired low fibrinogen levels was lower
These results suggest that among the elderly, gamma ' fibrinogen does not add much to cardiovascular disease prediction beyond traditional risk factors and total fibrinogen level.
Data suggest the potential compensatory role of fibrinogen in restoring coagulation function in vivo after hemorrhagic shock.
Report role of gamma'-fibrinogen in control of hemostatic clot (zeige TXNDC17 Antikörper) growth in the venous circulation.
Fibrinogen from mice harboring the Fibgamma390-396A mutation exhibited reduced binding to FXIII, and plasma from these mice exhibited delayed FXIII activation and fibrin crosslinking, indicating these residues mediate FXIII binding and activation.
elevated levels of gammaA/gammaA fibrinogen promote arterial thrombosis in vivo, whereas gammaA/gamma' does not
the gamma'/total fibrinogen ratio is associated with short-term outcome in ischaemic stroke
Platelet receptor engagement of the Fgg chain contributes to the stable incorporation of platelets into thrombi. Fibrinogen is internalized through alpha IIb beta 3 engagement of the Fgg chain; this interaction controls fibronectin (zeige FN1 Antikörper) content of platelets.
smaller thrombi result from the ability of fibrin to bind and sequester thrombin and/or the ability of the altered fibrinogen molecules, which cannot recruit platelets, to bind to and passivate the surface.
The Studies have shown that gamma chain binding to thrombin (zeige F2 Antikörper) and factor XIII (zeige UGDH Antikörper) results in clots that are mechanically stiffer and resistant to fibrinolysis, which may explain the association between gammaA/gamma' fibrinogen levels and cardiovascular disease.
the engagement of alphaIIb beta3 by the C-terminal sequence of the fibrinogen gamma-chain initiates signals that suppress subsequent fibronectin (zeige FN1 Antikörper) assembly by spread platelets
The protein encoded by this gene is the gamma component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Following vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin which is the most abundant component of blood clots. In addition, various cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, display vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and are mitogens for several cell types. Mutations in this gene lead to several disorders, including dysfibrinogenemia, hypofibrinogenemia and thrombophilia. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
