Beschreibung: The heat shock proteins (HSPs) comprise a group of highly conserved, abundantlyexpressed proteins with diverse functions, including the assembly and sequestering ofmultiprotein complexes, transportation of nascent polypeptide chains across cellularmembranes and regulation of protein folding. Heat shock proteins (also known asmolecular chaperones) fall into six general families: HSP 90, HSP 70, HSP 60, the lowmolecular weight HSPs, the immunophilins and the HSP 110 family. The low molecularweight family includes HSP 10, HSP 20, HSP 27, HSP 32 and HSP 40. HSP 27 is aconstitutively expressed cytoplasmic protein that co-localizes to the nucleus upon stressinduced by insult. Heat, cytokines and hormones are among the factors that stimulate thesynthesis of HSP 27. In vitro, HSP 27 becomes highly phosphorylated following exposure tostress. The discovery that HSP 27 is regulated by hormones such as estrogen has led tostudies establishing a relationship between HSP 27 and breast cancer.

Applikationshinweise: Immunohistochemistry: 1/50 - 1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.

Lagerung: Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
