Beschreibung: Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis andsome have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of thefifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Its proteinproduct is a protease present in seminal plasma. It is thought to function normally in theliquefaction of seminal coagulum, presumably by hydrolysis of the high molecular massseminal vesicle protein. Serum level of this protein, called PSA in the clinical setting, isuseful in the diagnosis and monitoring of prostatic carcinoma. Alternate splicing of thisgene generates two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Additional transcriptvariants have been described, but it is unclear if these transcripts are normally expressedor if they are specific to benign or malignant tumors.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: ELISA: This HRP-conjugated monoclonal PSA antibody can be used as a Tracer/Detectionantibody in a Sandwich ELISA for Human free PSA detection in combination with a Captureantibody. Suggested Capture Coating Dose: 0.5 µg/well, Substrate: TMB. If the above suggestedconditions are followed approximately 22 pg/mL of Free PSA can be detected. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: 0.01M PBS, pH 7.0 ± 0.1 in 50% Glycerol.Label: Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP).

Lagerung: Store the antibody at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: One year from despatch.
