Beschreibung Hsp27 (also known as the Estrogen-Regulated 24K protein, and hsp 28) is a member of themammalian small heat shock protein family. Hsp27 is expressed constitutively in manytissues and its expression is increased to high levels after various types of stress includingelevated temperatures, toxic metals, drugs and oxidants. Also, Hsp27 is phosphorylated invivo on three phosphorylation sites (Ser15, Ser78 and Ser82) by protein kinases includingMAPKAP kinase 2 and the stress-activated protein kinase SAPK2 (p38). Hsp27 forms amultimeric complex within cells, and its primary chaperone function, like other small Hsps,appears to be the stabilization of denatured or aggregated proteins in a refoldingcompetent state.
Spezifität The antibody recognizes human Hsp27. Other species not tested.

Applikationshinweise ELISA. Western blot (1: 1,000 - 1: 2,000). Immunohistochemistry on Parffin embedded tissue (1: 50). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Lagerung Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
