Spezifität: The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the subclass IgG2a. It reacts strongly withIg2a of the allelic types Igh-1a and Igh-1b, which include BALB/C, C57BL, CBA/J, SJ/J and SM/J. When used for the identification of IgG2a in other mouse strains the reaction may be weaker. The antiserum contains antibodies to iso and allospecific determinants.

Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required to eliminate antibodies cross-reacting with other components of the immunoglobulin system or reacting with other serum proteins. Special attention is given to the removal of antibodies to common Ig/Fab. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum.

Immunogen: Pools of purified homogenous IgG2a isolated from mouse serum of strains belonging to the allelic types Igh-1a and Igh-1b. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Applikationshinweise: In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG2a in mouse serum and other body fluids or to determine its concen-tration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of mouse IgG2a from serum or plasma.

Format: Lyophilized

Rekonstitution: Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.

Buffer: No foreign proteins added.

Konservierungsmittel: Without preservative

Handhabung: Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7. 2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4 °C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.
