Buffer: 20 mM sodium citrate-HCl buffer, pH 7.4. Plasminogen Depleted.

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen: Human plasma tested negative against anti-HIV1/2, anti-HTLV I & II, anti-HCV, HbsAg, Syphilis, HBC Ab, HIV-1 p24 Ag or HIV-1 RNA, HCV RNA and HBV RNA. Donors also screened for Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.

This is achieved through processes in the coagulation cascade that activate the zymogen prothrombin to the serine protease thrombin, which is responsible for converting fibrinogen into fibrin.
