    Hintergrund

Protein Background: CHD3 (Chromodomain Helicase DNA Binding Protein 3) is a member of the CHD family of proteins which are characterized by the presence of chromo (chromatin organization modifier) domains and SNF2-related helicase/ ATPase domains. This protein is one of the components of a histone deacetylase complex referred to as the Mi-2/ NuRD complex which participates in the remodeling of chromatin by deacetylating histones and is required for anchoring centrosomal pericentrin in both interphase and mitosis, for spindle organization and centrosome integrity. Diseases associated with CHD3 include Snijders Blok-Campeau Syndrome and Agenesis Of Corpus Callosum, Cardiac, Ocular, And Genital Syndrome.

Short Description: Recombinant CHD3 protein was expressed in baculovirus expression system as the full length protein (accession number NP_005843.2) with a N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of the protein is 224 kDa.
