Rekonstitution: It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.

Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
Normally 5 % -8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01 % Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.

Hintergrund: Annexin A1 is the first characterized member of the annexin family of proteins and is able to bind to cellular membranes in a calcium-dependent manner, promoting membrane fusion and endocytosis. Annexin A1 has anti-inflammatory properties and inhibits phospholipase A2 activity. Annexin A1 also has roles in many diverse cellular functions, such as membrane aggregation, inflammation, phagocytosis, proliferation, apoptosis, and tumorigenesis and cancer development.
